Hey guys! Today’s post is a little different – I thought that it would be fun to put together my very own Loot Crate! The lovely people over at Loot Crate put a project together where fans can highlight what they’d put together for their own ‘Dream Crate’. If you’re unfamiliar with who Loot Crate is, they offer all sorts of geek crates and gifts for fans (and anyone else, really) to enjoy.
The theme I’ve decided to go with is ‘Tales of the World’ – loosely inspired by classic fairy tales and the many, many retellings and adaptations that have been made over the years. So without further ado, here’s some of the things I’d include:
Beauty and the Beast Music Box
There are many different songs I probably could’ve chosen, but I saw this particular music box and had to include it on this list. I love how the two characters are just waltzing around to the iconic song from the movie. It might also have something to do with the fact that I just recently watched the live-film adaption of Beauty and the Beast, but seriously, it’s so good.
CandleThere are many tales which either have a forest setting, or have scenes that are set in the forest. What better way to immerse yourself into a mysterious world where you don’t know what is lurking in the shadows than being able to smell it?
What’s the point of having a fairy tale themed box if there aren’t actually any tales? I really love this version of the Grimm Brothers’ works, as it has a really classic, vintage look to it, being leather bound and having gold edges. I actually own this edition myself, and I absolutely love it, so I think it would be a really nice book to include with this crate.
T-shirtI don’t think this lootcrate post would be complete without a mention of some kind of shirt, and what else would you need besides the collection of stories by the Grimm Brothers? An anthology of the Hans Christian Andersen’s works… on a shirt! I think this is a really cool concept, and they’ve also got great designs!
Tote BagIf there’s going to be so many goods, it’s always handy to have an environmentally friendly, reusable tote bag! This particular one is designed by Evie Seo, one of my favourite Society6 artists, featuring a quote from Cinderalla and a beautiful design.
So there’s some of the things I’d personally include if I ever got to create my own Lootcrate box! I’d love to hear what you’d put your own Dreamcrate, so leave a comment letting me know!
